My name is Sharon and I am the Chaplain at Bayswater Primary School.
I am here at the school every Tuesday and Thursday during the school term, and I work alongside our Well-Being Coordinator, Kelly Roberts.
My role is to support our students, staff and families in the Bayswater Primary School community. I love working with children to help support and nurture their emotional and mental well-being. I am also here to come alongside parents or carers and staff members, as someone they can talk to.
During my days at school, I visit the classrooms to offer any support I can, and to briefly chat to students to see how they are going. With parents or carers permission, I might also work with children one on one or in small groups. I love being able to support the students through helping them eat well during weekly Breakfast Club, as well as cutting up oranges or distributing fruit to them during recess and lunch.
When I am not at school, I love playing games on the Xbox such as Portal Knights, Ori and the Will of Wisps and Minecraft Dungeons. I also love reading and drawing, as well as learning how to crochet and sew my own clothes.
If you would like to contact me, you can find me here at school on Tuesday or Thursday, get me via email at Sharon.Alsop@education.vic.gov.au or phone the school office on (03) 9721 3755.
I look forward to supporting you however I can.
