Designing Great Multimedia Projects Rubric

Not so good... Average... Fantastic...
Preparation Students did not plan what was going to be in their project and who was going to do it. Students had discussed what was going to be in the project but did not have all the information or resources ready. Students had a storyboard of their project and always had all the information and resources they needed.
Knowing the topic Students did not research their topic so they couldn't answer their questions, they just guessed. Students knew just a little bit about the topic they were researching. Students researched the topic from a variety of sources and proved they knew the topic by creating an interesting project.
Navigation There are no buttons or clues to help move around the project. There are a few buttons but it was not easy to move around the project. It is easy to move around the whole project because buttons and clues are clear. There is a project map.
Use of media There is no sound, video or pictures in the project. It has some movement, video, pictures and sound but not for the right reasons. Just the right amount of media is chosen to show what we know or have done.
Organisation of information The information is not organised clearly and it is hard to find what you are looking for. You can find your way around the project but it is still a bit confusing. The information is organised so that you can find everything easily.
Teamwork Team members did not share the work or help each other. Most of the time all team members worked cooperatively. The work was shared fairly and everyone's work was valued.
Screen design The pages of the project had either too much or too little information and were confusing. The design is interesting but not very clear. The pages were creative and clear and had a variety of media.
Originality of work Students copied other people's work and ideas. Students made some of their own pictures and video. Created most of the project from original ideas and media.
Checking for accuracy There is information that is not true in the project and there are spelling mistakes. There are one or two mistakes only and there is only a bit of punctuation wrong. The project has been proof read and all mistakes have been corrected.
Information sources Students did not list any sources. Students listed sources but did not include all the information that was needed. Students used information from a variety of sources and listed them in a bibliography.
