400g Jam roll cake

100g Strawberry instant pudding

1 cup Milk

1 tablespoon gelatine

300ml Cream

300g Raspberries thawed

400g Jam roll $1.49

100g Strawberry instant pudding $1.15 

1 litre of  milk $1.55, used 1 cup $0.39

125g gelatine $3.07, used 1 tablespoon $0.50

300ml Cream $1.44

300g Raspberries $5.44

Our group total $10.41

 

1. Line a 20cm bowl with cling wrap. Cut jam roll into 2cm slices. Line the bowl with cake.                           

2. Put 1 cup of milk in a different bowl with pudding mix and add a tablespoon of gelatine dissolved with water.

3. Whip cream then put cream into the bowl and fold gently.

4. Put frozen Raspberries with pudding and mix it all  together. Tip pudding in to the bowl with cake. Smooth pudding with a spoon. Cover with cling wrap and leave in the fridge for 3-4 hours or overnight.

5.Tip pudding when set unto a plate. Take off cling wrap. Cut and serve.

What did you learn about maths and what principle did you  investigate? 

 

 

Measurement-using measuring cups to measure ingredients.

Division/fractions- Dividing up the jam roll to line the bowl finished pudding into serves.

Addition- adding up the cost.

Division-working out the actual cost of our recipe.

What did you learn about maths and what principle did you  investigate? 

When you whip the cream it adds air to make the cream rise.

Freezing and thawing- We had to thaw the raspberries and we had to freeze the whole pudding to make it set quicker. We tried to cut it but it was too hard so we had to thaw it more until recess.

It's very Important to copy a recipe properly. Our group left a word off the shopping list and almost changed the whole thing. we bought jam instead of jam roll cake.

 

 

 

 

First time we were online to Boronia West but they couldn't see us because we did not have the camera  but we could see them so they felt embarrassed. They asked  all sorts of questions like what did you do on the weekend?, What's your name?, How old are you?, what are you cooking?, what  do you like to cook?, what's your favourite food and drink?.

A few days later we installed a camera so they could see us. In the end we got everything going.
