2 cups of plain flour

1/2 cup of castor sugar

70 g butter

2 eggs

2 teaspoons of baking powder

1 1/2 cups milk

1/2 jar raspberry jam

1/2 jar golden circle jam

600 mls cream

 

 

Flour = $1.58 / 2kg 500g = 40c

Castor Sugar = $1.49/ kg 125g = 19c

Butter = 500g/$1.98 70g = 28c

Eggs = 12 $2.48 2 eggs = 52c

baking powder $1.46/125g = 2 teaspoons = 5c

Milk = $3 /2L 1 1/2 cups = 375 ml = 80c

Jam Raspberry= $1.49/450g = 75c

Jam Golden Circle = $2.37/500g $1.20

Cream = 600ml/1$1.63 

Total Cost:

$5.82

  1. Wash hands.  

  2. Place  flour, baking powder, castor sugar into a mixing bowl and combine.

  3. Combine eggs, milk and melted butter in another bowl.

  4. Whisk into flour mix.

  5. Spoon 1 tablespoon of mix onto greased, hot pan.

  6. Flip until both sides are brown.

  7. Serve with jam and cream.

  8. Mixture makes 40, serves 10.
